Job Description

Adtran Sales Specialist

Job Outline

You will be a Sales and Business Development Specialist for Zurich Technology Solutions working from our office in Irvine, California, or your remote home-office.

You will report directly to the Vice President of Sales. This is a full-time position, which will be focused on establishing a new customer account portfolio and selling our products and services into existing Zurich customers.

This position will primarily be focused on selling our diverse offering of Pre-Owned and New networking equipment through our partnership with Adtran / Adva.

This customer base is primarily Broadband Service Providers, Utilities, Municipal Governments, and the like in the United States and Latin America.

We will provide a computer for your business use at our expense and travel is expected to be limited to 25-30% for this position.

With regards to travel expenses, we reimburse all reasonable travel expenses as outlined in our Travel Policy.

Compensation for the role is a competitive base salary ($70K-100K) sales commissions additional bonus / incentives and is based on candidate’s individual experience and skills.

Position Profile

  • Identify and develop new accounts through active in person meetings, calling, social media and emailing. Direct Sales environment.
  • Create and manage a sales funnel in our CRM system (HubSpot) and provide internal sales reports.
  • Answer RFQs, elaborate RFIs, and compose complex proposals.
  • Plan and implement trade shows and other sales tactical initiatives.
  • Build, expand, and cultivate strong relationships with our customer’s buyers and engineers at all levels within a large organization.
  • Travel to industry events and customers within the US and Canada in order to meet sales targets
  • Meet or exceed sales plan on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to pursue new business relationships with new customers and nurture existing Zurich customer relationships as well.

We would expect that you would leverage your current contacts / customers based on your sales experience and leverage our database of nationwide contacts.

  • You would also be responsible for those supply relationships where your experience and relationships would be valuable to the organization.
  • Engage in outbound sales activities, including research, prospecting, lead generation, customer interviews, delivering sales presentations, etc.
  • You will engage in direct phone and email communication with prospects and customers on a daily basis, including cold-calling and hunting for new business.
  • Coordinating strategically with our Operations Team to maximize Sales opportunities on high-value inventory and value-added services within the company’s capabilities.
  • Daily duties to also include customer service activities, which include timely response to customer inquiries, quick turnaround of quotes, pro-active updates, processing of any customer requests for information, presentations, RFP / RFQ responses, etc.
  • Assist with the Procurement of Telecom and IT Equipment as requested and needed by the business.
  • You will be expected to keep all customer and prospects records updated and complete using the company’s CRM system, Q ERP, or other approved methods.
  • Keep track of all orders and make sure any and all customer portals are updated with accurate information.
  • Provide pricing to customers to equipment sales or repair sales.
  • It is expected that you will also attend nationwide tradeshows as requested.
  • All Salespeople at Zurich Technology Solutions will be held accountable to performance standards, including Sales Quotas, which drive individual, team, and company results

Requirements

Candidate Profile :

  • 5 years of experience selling and support telecom and / or IT equipment and support services
  • Relevant Product and / or Profiled Customer Sales Experience with a proven track record of success.
  • Self-motivated, self-managed, enthusiastic, and charismatic.
  • Relentless work ethic.
  • Excellent phone, interpersonal and written skills.
  • Passion for closing deals with history of gaining access to high-level decision makers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications with strong computing knowledge, including advanced PowerPoint and Excel.

Benefits

There is no relocation package offered at this time. Our competitive compensation package is comprised of a base salary plus a unlimited bonus plan,

commensurate with experience.
