Summit View Elementary School is an Arts Integrated Magnet School within the School District of Waukesha. As a school, we infuse the arts into the student experience to create more equitable access to learning. We are seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide engaging and supportive instruction to 4th-5th grade students, while promoting an inclusive environment for all. All instructional staff at Summit View teach through an arts integrated approach, plan and provide proactive and reactive behavioral support to students, and collaborate with staff, families, and community partners on student achievement and confidence that prepares them for our community.

- Co-plan and co-teach with regular education teachers to meet the needs of all learners
- Provide evidence-based intervention / specialized instruction and monitor student progress to close achievement gaps
- Use technology to promote student learning & engagement
- Collaborate with families, colleagues, grade level teams, and members of the school's Student Services Team regarding student learning goals
- Build positive relationships with children and constructively manage student behavior
- Participate in and contribute to Professional Learning Communities at the school and district level
- Implement evidence-based strategies that support School Improvement Plan goals and expectations in the School District of Waukesha's Vision
