Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for new site builds and modifications.
- Manage all phases of the construction lifecycle, from site preparation and foundation work to equipment installation and project closeout.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of general contractors (GCs) and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Implement strategies to optimize construction processes, drive efficiency, and minimize costs while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may impact project timelines or budgets.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure quality control, and enforce safety protocols in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software to track progress, forecast completion dates, and identify critical path activities.
- Proactively communicate schedule updates, potential delays, and any issues requiring attention to stakeholders at all levels.
- Oversee the procurement and delivery of construction materials, managing inventory to ensure timely availability of resources on site.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, optimize delivery schedules, and maintain strong relationships.
- Establish and track key project milestones, ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet defined objectives.
- Generate regular progress reports, clearly communicating project status, potential roadblocks, and key performance indicators to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, permits, inspection reports, and as-built drawings.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of proven experience in telecom construction project management
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Deep understanding of telecommunications construction practices, methodologies, and technologies.
- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and quality control.
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate general contractors and subcontractors effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
