Job Overview

The Business Development Specialist will identify new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and drive revenue growth for Wax Eloquent. This is not a management position. It is a front line, "doing the work" type of role in sales. This individual will work closely with the CEO to craft tailored proposals and pitches that resonate with prospects. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an understanding of digital marketing and a history of success in sales or business development. Our ideal clients are Small to Medium businesses in the Home and Residential Services Industry. 

Key Responsibilities

Identify New Business Opportunities: Research and identify potential clients and new market opportunities, focusing on businesses in the Home Services industry. Mid Tenn focus first. Establish and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs, challenges, and goals.

Develop Proposals and Pitches: Collaborate with the CEO to create compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches that clearly communicate Wax Eloquent’s value proposition. The goal will be for you to develop to the place where you can identify and pitch a client without much assistance from other team members. 

Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales process from cold prospecting, meeting, pitching, to closing deals, ensuring a steady pipeline of new business opportunities.

Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.

Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and the internal team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to account management, providing support as needed to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Performance Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, providing insights to and receiving feedback from the CEO on your performance in the role. 

Qualifications

Experience: 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the marketing industry. 

Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, PPC, social media, content marketing, and web design.

Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and deliver presentations confidently.

Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets, with a results-driven mindset.

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM software, Google Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
