General Information:
When outsourcing meals for the facility, the dietary worker will coordinate deliveries, warming, serving, and proper storing of meals and snacks for the scheduled times. At the time food is prepared onsite, the dietary worker will be trained by the Dietary Manager to follow approved menus. The dietary worker will be trained to follow all proper procedures and protocols of the facility.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Follow a State approved menu.
· Help the Dietary Manager to ensure that the kitchen meets all standards and codes of the State of SC Department of Health.
· Assist the Dietary Manager with preparing any special or modified diets as directed by a resident’s physician.
· Ensure that the food trays are ready and designated mealtimes for EACH shift are being met daily.
· Ensure that all trays, sporks, utensils, carrying bags, etc. are brought back to the kitchen after each use and are cleaned appropriately.
· Ensure that that coolers are wiped out daily.
· Ensure that the grease is emptied after every use of the flat-top grill.
· Ensure that the deep fryer grease is changed every weekend.
· Ensure that the freezers are defrosted as needed.
· Ensure that a weekly cleaning schedule is followed.
· Always make sure that all spills (wet or dry) are cleaned up immediately.
· Helps put up stock.
· Follow all applicable Policies and Procedures of Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
· Demonstrate competency in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity.
· Report directly to your superior (Food Services Manager) with any questions, comments, problems, concerns about your kitchen duties.

Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Valid drivers license required.
· Must be willing to complete any required training.
This person must have a High School Diploma or GED with at least 3 years of experience in a professional cooking setting (i.e school, hospital, restaurant, children’s home, etc.). Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Driver’s License, and have completed any or all training required by the State of Tennessee.
