Wayne-Sanderson Farms is Hiring a Hatchery Night Attendant - 3rd Shift Near Waco, TX
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Hatchery Night Shift Attendant monitors equipment used to refrigerate, incubate, and hatch chicks overnight while supervision is not on-site.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

- Monitor hatchers and setters to ensure proper functionality; report issues to maintenance in a timely fashion
- Monitor Hatchery environment to ensure proper functionality of Air Conditioning, Heat, and Humidity levels
- Administer formaldehyde in prescribed manner
- Comply with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Identify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementation
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culture
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Hatchery Manager and/or Supervisor
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred one (1) year applicable experience in a similar environment
- Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a timely and professional manner; multi-lingual strongly preferred
- Ability to handle and resolve most issues in an efficient and effective manner while ensuring confidential information is relayed only on a need-to-know basis
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize projects, planning skills, and a high attention to detail
- Must possess a strong customer-centric attitude, high energy level and a strong sense of urgency
- Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
- Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
- Ability to work overnight shift, with little to no supervision
- Ability to work extended shifts (holiday, weekend and/or extended) as business need requires
- Ability to work in cold/ humid or hot/ dusty environments as needed
- Ability to work in extreme heat (100 degrees or greater)
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, kneel and crawl
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
