Description:Waypoint’s client is seeking a highly skilled Sr Systems Engineer to join their team at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in assisting leadership in defining and enforcing the Hydra API on software vendors for various Army intelligence systems.Responsibilities:

Description:Waypoint’s client is seeking a highly skilled Sr Systems Engineer to join their team at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in assisting leadership in defining and enforcing the Hydra API on software vendors for various Army intelligence systems.Responsibilities:
- Work with existing vendors, such as Palantir, to ensure API conformance.
- Assist leadership in defining and enforcing the Hydra API specifications for their programs of record.
- Ensure that Army equipment data is accurately read and written to/from vendor databases using the Hydra API.
- Read API specifications and use REST tools (e.g., Postman, Curl) to interact with REST implementations.
- Report status to government customers and enforce government guidelines on vendors.
- Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
- 8 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Extensive experience with Army intelligence systems is highly desirable.
- Proficient in reading API specifications and using REST tools for API interactions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective reporting and guideline enforcement.
