Position Type:OnsitePosition Location: Annapolis Junction, MDClearance:Active TS/SCI w/ PolyWaypoint’s client is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team to fulfill the role of a Splunk Administrator. The selected Systems Engineer will be responsible for implementing comprehensive SOA solutions and ensuring the technical integrity of the system baseline over time. Additionally, they will develop operational concepts and scenarios, coordinate system integration activities, and manage changes to requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and plays a crucial role in supporting Splunk operations.Responsibilities:
Serve as a Splunk Administrator, focusing on operations and data flows such as NiFi.
Implement comprehensive Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions to meet business requirements.
Establish and maintain a formal process for controlling and managing changes to requirements, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and traceability to source requirements.
Ensure the technical integrity of the system baseline over time by continually updating it as changes are imposed on the system during the lifecycle.
Develop operational concepts and scenarios that describe the interactions between the system, the user, and the environment, satisfying operational, support, maintenance, and disposal needs.
Coordinate system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces.
Requirements:
Fourteen (14) years of experience as a System Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. (Five (5) years of additional System Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.)
