Waypoint’s client is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join their growing team.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
- Coordinates system development to include design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing
- Contributes to completion of engineering programs and projects
- Develops solutions to a variety of complex engineering problems
- Oversees complex infrastructure including installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Performs continual maintenance and provides complex solutions for security, backup, and redundancy problems
- Prepares and maintains documentation for processes and procedures relate to engineering projects
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
- 5 years of related experience
- Strong Windows background with familiarity operating in a Linux environment, experience with SIEM tools, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and delivery, Cloud and/or Hybrid-Cloud experience, enterprise storage experience
- Works independently under general supervision
- Possess current DoD IAT II Level certification
- Experience with Nutanix, Splunk, AWS/Azure, and/or HPE storage solution
