A Dispatcher at WayPoint Logistics will be responsible for ensuring on time delivery and order updates to all customers as well as scheduling orders, routing and providing superior customer service. A Dispatcher will also proactively manage and monitor driver’s routes, progress, and ensure proper completion.

The typical work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm and participation in an on-call rotation. Additional compensation applies to on-call rotation and typically consists of one night a week and one weekend a month (or once every 5-6 weeks).

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous computer and office experience required.
• Previous dispatch and customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
• General understanding of the central IL area with the assistance of google maps.
• Responsibilities:

• Keep all internal & external portals updated with job statuses to meet KPIs (key performance indicators).
• Perform dispatch duties such as, calling in drivers, keeping track of job status and updating all customer portals.
• Coordinates all dispatching of customer orders to drivers.
• Maintains and monitors all order activity including accurate and complete order entry.
• Monitors order progress and proper order completion.
• Records all order updates from start of order through completion.
• Assists customers with order inquires, which may include confirmations, status updates, order & delivery issues or any other order related inquiry.
• Schedule orders with consignees according to account and order requirements.
• Route orders for maximum efficiency while taking into account varying account requirements
• Provide customer service to customers as well as consignees
• When on call, the dispatcher will be responsible for pulling parts from warehouse, completing documents, preparing parts for delivery, updating customers with order statuses and monitoring for complete and proper completion.
• Assists warehouse staff, as needed.
• Monitors dock and warehouse activity as needed.
