ABOUT THIS POSITION
This position will primarily be responsible for assisting the IT department with accounting, purchasing, and reporting functions. This will include analyzing task level data and performing software capitalization calculations and journal entries; assisting with development, tracking, and forecasting of the IT budget; assisting with IT purchasing, renewals, and contract management; tracking and managing software licensing; miscellaneous areas of the accounting function, such as contract review, special handling billing, account analysis, etc.; and other responsibilities as assigned. This position will have dotted line reporting to the Director of Information Systems.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Act as a liaison between the Accounting and Information Technology departments
• Analyzing task level data and performing software capitalization calculations and journal entries
• Maintain system to track computer hardware
• Provide on-going tracking of all physical computer assets and identify and record disposals

• Maintain a system to track and account for software licenses and forecast and record potential license true-up expenses
• Assist the I/T department with the preparation of financial and capital plans and report and forecast against those plans
• Miscellaneous support to the accounting team including contract review, special handling billing, account analysis, etc.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks and projects as assigned by the Controller, Assistant Controller and Director of Information Technology

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

• Bachelor of Arts or Sciences - Accounting or Business with an Accounting emphasis. CPA preferred.
• High Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel required

• Prior experience in performing basic accounting functions
• Must be dependable
• Must be organized and self-motivated to follow instructions with minimal direction
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook
• Knowledge of NetSuite software a plus

• Knowledge of Salesforce software a plus
