- Whippany, NJ As a Barclays Software Engineer, you will be hands-on, working on building and delivering key software architecture components that will be scaled across the Wholesale Onboarding, and other groups. These capabilities will include enterprise grade workflow engine, service mesh, knowledge graph / semantic layer and UI framework. What will you be doing?
- Designing, developing enhancing and maintaining software solutions leveraging technologies such as JAVA, Spring, Angular, jBPM
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high quality solutions
- Working closely with CTO, CSO and control functions to design secure and scalable software solutions
- Being responsible for providing estimates for software builds, including design, development, and testing
- Taking ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work you do
- Participating in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, test, and delivery
- Developing applications using a variety of languages and technologies and Collaborating with team members to define and implement solutions
- Facilitating design and architecture brainstorms and participating in code reviews What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science from a reputed institution with relevant work experience and Experience working as part of an agile development team
- Overall experience including system design, development, architecture and solving complex IT problems, over two years of hands-on experience in HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience developing medium to large size Java application experience in Core Java 1.8 , multi-threading, Angular JS, and Angular 2 and knowledge in React, Java-script Node JS
- Background in leading delivery of software solutions while overseeing small teams and Motivated team player, with the ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines Skills that will help you in the role:
- Good understanding of SDLC and agile processes and Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience building systems in trading, banking and/ or financial organization and Team player, self-starter, motivated with the ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and
- Good working knowledge and experience with complex business systems and OO design patterns and development
- Experience with Kafka and Knowledge of Graph Technologies including Graph-QL, cloud infrastructure and principles Where will you be working?
