Location: Birchview Elementary SchoolHours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

- Free childcare for your child while you are working! (students must be in grades K-5 and attend a Wayzata Public School. Subject to availability)
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Guide children in the development of language, motor, and social skills
- Execute age-appropriate, hands-on activities for 2-5 year old children
- Enforce policies and procedures set by the school
- Participate in professional development and other school-related activities
- Communicate daily with parents at drop off and pick up
- Foster an atmosphere or respect and positive reinforcement
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in child development, early childhood, or equivalent preferred
- At least one year successful experience working with preschool aged children in a childcare or education setting
- Has a passion for working with young children
- Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children from diverse backgrounds
- Experience with the Pyramid Model and Classroom Engagement Model is beneficial
- Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodation
- Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff and caregivers
- Must successfully meet our pre-employment background screening requirements
