The San Benito County Water District (SBCWD) is seeking a General Manager to drive the District's mission forward, ensuring sustainable water resources for agricultural, municipal, and industrial use. This General Manager will oversee 22 staff and an approximate annual operating budget of $29 million. This small yet dynamic district requires a leader who excels in collaboration and communication. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of keeping the Board informed, to ensure strategic decisions are made with the Board's full support and understanding. This hands-on General Manager ensures the seamless integration of functions including groundwater management, federal water importation contracts, and the operation of two water treatment plants. Additionally, they will strategize the District's responsibilities regarding agricultural water delivery and the efficiency of two surface water reservoirs used for storage and groundwater recharge.
