Position Summary
WCTractor is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in all aspects of our store operations. As a Co-Op Intern, you will be exposed to various departments, including sales, parts, service, administrative tasks, and yard porter duties. This internship will provide valuable insights into the daily operations of a leading tractor and equipment dealership. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team, learn from industry professionals, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Sales Support: Assist the sales team with customer inquiries, product demonstrations, and order processing. Learn about different tractor and equipment models, specifications, and features to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Parts Department: Collaborate with the parts team to receive, organize, and manage inventory. Assist in fulfilling customer orders, processing returns, and maintaining a well-organized parts warehouse.
  • Service Department: Gain exposure to the service department by shadowing technicians during equipment inspections, maintenance procedures, and repair jobs. Assist in keeping service records and ensuring equipment cleanliness.
  • Administrative Duties: Support administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and documentation. Assist in creating reports and presentations as required.
  • Yard Porter Duties: Help in organizing and maintaining the equipment display area and yard. Assist with equipment loading and unloading, as well as ensuring all equipment is properly staged and presentable.
  • Customer Relations: Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries, and ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments and team members to achieve company goals and foster a positive working environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)
  • Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program or recent graduate in business, agriculture, or a related field.
  • Passionate about the agricultural industry and eager to learn about tractor and equipment sales and service.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to various tasks as needed.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Physical ability to handle equipment and perform yard porter duties.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality records.

Duration: This Co-Op Internship opportunity at WCTractor will typically span the school year, but summer employment is also an option, providing the intern with a comprehensive experience in all aspects of our store operations.Benefits
