We Do Cams is Hiring a Low Voltage Technician Near Los Angeles, CA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Low Voltage Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining low-voltage cable infrastructure systems, including video surveillance systems, access control systems, intercoms, and data cabling.
Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage cable infrastructure systems, including fiber optic cabling, Category 5 wiring, and other structured wiring systems
- Collaborate with clients to ensure they understand how to use the installed systems
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant codes and standards
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Work safely and efficiently, lifting up to 75 pounds, climbing ladders, and using extension ladders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment with tight deadlines
- Ability to crawl in attics or crawl spaces as needed
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Technician certification
- Minimum 2 years of experience installing, servicing, and maintaining low-voltage cable infrastructure systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of electrical safety procedures
- Proficiency in video surveillance systems, access control systems, intercoms, locking hardware, and other low-voltage systems
- Ability to install, terminate, and test low-voltage cables and fiber optic cables
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electrician experience
- Strong math skills
- Good driving record
- Neat, clean, and professional appearance
Proven ability to install, terminate & test low voltage cables & fiber optical cables to include twisted pair cable, coax, power limited tray cable, stranded & solid conductor low voltage cable, single mode & multi-mode fiber optical cables. Must be authorized to work in the United States

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
