Controller Job Description:

Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with accounting standards. This pivotal role involves financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making by the management team.

Duties:

- Manage all financial accounting aspects, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

- Ensure precise and timely preparation of financial statements following GAAP standards.

- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and review general ledger accounts for accuracy.

- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning initiatives.

- Develop and implement internal controls to protect company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.

- Provide financial analysis and insights to aid in business decisions and identify areas for enhancement.

- Collaborate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure adherence to audit requirements.

- Stay abreast of accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices for compliance and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

-Hospitality Experience Preferred

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred.

- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in corporate accounting.

- Strong technical accounting knowledge with a deep understanding of GAAP principles.

- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

- Experience with regulatory reporting requirements.

- Advanced proficiency in Sage or similar accounting software.

- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
