Webasto is seeking motivated, dynamic and goal-oriented candidates, to join our team as a Purchasing Manager at our North American headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI.
What you will do – Essential Responsibilities

  • Implementing strategies for negotiating category purchase agreements based on in-depth knowledge of foreign and domestic markets for optimum pricing and terms
  • Purchasing categories in accordance with approved buying programs, using trade judgment in implementation and/or the established procurement policy
  • Ensuring the availability of materials in the supply chain as scheduled and maintaining the inventory at minimum acceptable levels
  • Monitors inventory requests, production schedules and purchase requisitions to coordinate purchasing activities for current/anticipated demand of materials and services
  • Identifies and selects suppliers that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality and delivery
  • Lead, mentor and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental and organizational goals
  • Drive sustainability within the supply base
The minimum requirements you will need
  • Bachelor’s degree required and 5 years of experience in Purchasing
  • 3 or more years of leadership experience
  • Extensive knowledge in tooling components, contract negotiations, economics and purchasing law
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for accuracy of job placements
  • Excellent organization and time management skill required to keep programs on time and within established budgets
  • Diverse product knowledge across multiple parts or material commodities
  • Knowledge of international purchasing beneficial
  • Ability to manage programs/projects as required by Purchasing
