Webb Family Eyecare of Indiana is Hiring an Optometric Technician Near Jeffersonville, IN

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary testing for patients, including visual acuities, color vision, depth perception, and other specialized tests
- Assist with contact lens insertion, removal, and training
- Conduct patient medical history interviews and document relevant information accurately
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems for scheduling, billing, and record-keeping
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for optometrists
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information

Requirements:
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance in a medical setting
- Familiarity with optical terminology ,and procedures. However training will be provided
- Experience with medical coding and billing processes not necessary to start, but is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics 3 years of age and older
- Experience with electronic medical records is a plus, but training will be provided.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
