Weber Human Services (WHS), located in Ogden, Utah serves a growing urban population residing in Weber and Morgan Counties. We are an organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan county governments to serve as the local authority for the provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior service programs. Weber Human Services is the only organization in the State of Utah providing these services under a single administration. Through dozens of human services programs, WHS helps thousands of its neighbors by supporting and empowering our most vulnerable groups including at-risk youth, the elderly, children, youth and adults suffering from mental illnesses, and those recovering from addictions. Weber Human Services creates hope and opportunities that enable all clients and staff to: do the work necessary to become their best self and find joy through people, place and purpose. A typical day as a WHS Residential Human Service Tech is about providing a safe and caring environment where people can thrive while engaging in treatment. We are looking for applicants who will demonstrate boundaries, while interacting in warm, welcoming, and interested manner with clients at all times. You need to have some writing skills to document incidents and attention to detail to dispense medication to clients. You will support the clinical program by providing activities and educational groups. You will help coach clients on hygiene, room cleanliness, and encourage clients to attend and participate in daily treatment including groups.

As the Tranquility Home lead, your primary duties will be in Tranquility Home. You will demonstrate leadership skills in training staff in the day to day processes of the program and help maintain fidelity to the program and our WHS motto. You will attend Residential Leadership Meetings to troubleshoot problems and come up with ideas to improve the program for both staff and clients.

You will inventory items and purchase client incentives, some food items, and other supplies within budget as needed.

You will also be responsible to write the staff schedule to ensure adequate staffing, working the CTU lead, to share staff between facilities and take calls from staff about schedule changes. A WHS Residential Human Service Tech works with a broad range of clients. Techs use a wide variety of skills to engage clients in learning life skills and coping skills to enrich their treatment and help them become their best self. *(BFOQ- as our SUD facilities are gender specific. Only female applicants can work in Tranquility Home.) Some transportation will be necessary; therefore, you will need a valid Utah driver license. You will also need CPR/First Aid and a Food Handler's Permit, which we will pay for once you begin employment. A background check and approval is required to maintain employment in our residential facilities.

Must be willing to complete and criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
