A position has been declared open in Weber School District at Weber High School for a Counseling Administrative Assistant. This position is for 8 hours per day, 9 months per year. 

This position is for the upcoming school year 2024-25.

THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED, AFTER A MINIMUM OF 5 WORKING DAYS.

The job of a Counseling Administrative Assistant was established for the purpose of assisting their assigned School Counselor.

Essential Functions

• Assists the School Counselor with duties such as group counseling, lesson preparation and data collection.
• Supports the School Counselor by performing duties as assigned.
• Attendance is an essential function of this job opportunity. 
• Assists the school counselors and administration in creating a master schedule.

Other Functions

• Assists other school personnel as required for the purpose of supporting the School Counseling Program.

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

• Must be able to operate standard office and computer equipment.
• Must have knowledge of concepts of stages of child development
• Must be able to communicate with diverse groups; maintain confidentiality; and work with constant interruptions

Experience: Job-related experience is desired.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
