Job Description: Manufacturing Operator

Location: Fall River, MA USA

Role Overview: The company is seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Operator specializing in Solid Dosage forms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food & beverage manufacturing units, specifically supporting processes such as granulation, blending, compression, and encapsulation. This role is integral to ensuring the production of high-quality oral solid dosage products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain equipment used in the manufacturing processes of granulation, blending, compression, and encapsulation.
• Ensure the uniformity and stability of dosage forms by adhering to precise granulation processes.
• Perform blending operations to achieve a homogenous mixture of powders or granules.
• Execute compression tasks to form solid, cohesive tablets, ensuring they meet specified hardness, friability, and disintegration properties.
• Carry out encapsulation procedures to fill capsules with the appropriate drug formulations.
• Monitor and document manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 1 Years of hands-on experience in granulation, blending, compression, and encapsulation processes.
• Industry Background: Must currently be working in a pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food & beverage manufacturing unit.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment related to oral solid dosage forms.
• Knowledge: Understanding of GMP, SOPs, and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing setting.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.
• Visa Status: Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

• Granulation:
• Forming granules from powdery or solid substances to enhance the flow properties and stability of the dosage form.
• Includes wet granulation (using a liquid binder) and dry granulation (compaction without a liquid).
• Blending:
• Combining different powders or granules to create a uniform mixture, ensuring even distribution of the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API).
• Compression:
• Compacting the blended powder into tablets using a tablet press, ensuring the tablets have the required hardness, friability, and disintegration properties.
• Encapsulation:
• Filling capsules with the powder or granular form of a drug, using hard or soft gelatin capsules based on formulation requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16,000.00 - $19,000.00 per year
