Webuild (www.webuildstaffing.com) is currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineering Manager to lead a design and manufacturing operations related to structural steel components used throughout the United States used in in commercial buildings, hotels, stadiums, and arenas.
The ideal candidate we are seeking would have over 10 years of experience leading a engineering and manufacturing group in the efficient design, engineering, manufacturing and erection of structural steel joists, decking and support columns utilizing advanced design technologies.
The Structural Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the organizations design/engineering team activities; developing engineering designs, performing structural calculations, formalizing component sizing and finalizing structural and civil design / plan sets for projects. Must have strong working knowledge of ASCE and AISC building codes.
Additionally, you will be responsible for driving forward all operational procedure/process efficiencies, proposal development, budgeting/scheduling, hiring/training/managing staff while working directly with onsite plant manufacturing teams to ensure product is designed and constructed per engineering guidelines and quality standards. Candidates that can support business development efforts will be given priority consideration.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural Engineering and/or related discipline. Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, Tekla and related engineering software’s. Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Candidates that have previous design team leadership skills within the structural steel industry with projects heavy in complex structural steel detailing and concrete foundations encouraged to apply.
