TITLE: Sales Director

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and results oriented Sales Director to join our team. This individual will be responsible for generating new business and managing some existing accounts to be front facing accounts by speaking and selling Weckerle’s capabilities and products. There will be responsibilities of retrieving product briefs from existing accounts and develop a turnkey product. This role will be responsible for vetting new business opportunities, all while working with cross functional team members for a sellable product and supply chain to close business opportunities for top marginal returns. This role is very critical to the success of the business and one must have a full understanding of the company’s manufacturing capabilities, color cosmetic products and competitive landscape of the beauty and skin care industry. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Generate and attain new business relationships (Not selling products to retail for distribution) and grow existing accounts and add new accounts for top marginal return

· Establish Commercial Strategy and Client intelligence

· Manage accounts in North American (East and West Coast)

· Responsible for selling services of WCUSA for new opportunities or factory assistance (retrieval of briefs and defining technical concepts with brand customers)

· Responsible for managing product development process of SKU with R&D team and engagement to packaging suppliers to create a finished good for assigned customer accounts

· Establish and performing the preparation of internal calculations for offers to customers’ RFQs and negotiating of contracts

· Maintain details on account profiles and activities, including statistics, forecasts and reports; update management and team members on account status, business opportunities and trends on a regular basis

· Responsible for attaining a project award or support project management team for retrieval of Purchase Orders

· Supports project management for project execution and production

· Works or supports Inside Sales (re-orders after initial sales) staff for supply needs and communication with customers

· Observing and analyzing market trends to contribute to product development and business strategies

· Following up on company-generated leads (B2B)

· Align Global Strategy with the rest of the Sites of the Group in the Americas

· Attend Exhibiting Trade Shows and travel for off-site customer meetings

· Reports into Vice President of Sales of Americas

Qualifications/Requirements:

EDUCATION:

· Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business or Marketing or related field from four-year College or university; and Requires at least 7 years of experience in this field or in a related area. (Sales, Marketing, Sourcing or Project Management)

EXPERIENCE:

· 7 - 10 years successful sales experience in Beauty or Skin & Body Care or Consumer Packaged Goods Manufacturing or Sourcing or Product Development or Brand Development with equivalent combination of education or Beauty Brand experience required

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Knowledge:

· Standard, clerical office practices and procedures especially as they relate to the function of this position. 

· Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite and ERP system (i.e. MS Dynamics AX)

Skills:

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, needed to effectively communicate with Management, customers, vendors, suppliers, guests, etc.

· Excellent presentation and organization skills with a talent for customer interaction and service at all levels

· Strong team player with excellent communication skills

· Confident to work in a complex environment

· Willing to travel on a regular basis to customer sites, suppliers’ facilities and trade shows. 40% of working time.

· Speak and write effectively; prepare documents that are sufficient, (priority, high area of interest), and grammatically accurate; correctly apply policies, procedures, and regulations. Work effectively in a diverse community; maintain confidences, and confidentiality. Attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, is critical for the success of this position.
