Small-sized CPA firm located in Westbury, NY (Nassau County) seeks an experienced accountant with 4 years of experience in public accounting for immediate hire in a permanent role.
Responsibilities
*Provide accounting services to small business clients across various industries including
bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
*General ledger analysis and adjustment
*Interim and year-end Trial Balance preparation
*Personal, Corporate, Partnership and Fiduciary tax return preparation
*Quarterly/annual Payroll Tax return preparation (941, 940, NYS-45, W-2, 1099, etc.)
*Monthly/quarterly/annual multi-state Sales Tax return preparation
*Review & respond to various forms of correspondence with clients and governmental agencies
*Local travel when necessary
*Work alongside partners on a daily basis to facilitate the above responsibilities and complete
various duties as they arise
Qualifications
*Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
*4 years recent experience in public accounting
*Ability to work both independently and with management
*Strong interpersonal skills and possession of a strong business acumen
*Willingness to take on existing client base and maintain ongoing relationships
*Fluency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Intuit QuickBooks and Sage accounting
program helpful
*Proficiency in ProSystem FX Tax preferred, but not required
