Assembly Technician
Weis Fire & Safety Equipment Company, manufacturer of wildland fire apparatus, is seeking an Assembly Technician for their Apparatus Division. This person will assist in mounting equipment on trucks and run harnesses using small hand tools. Person to have a good basic knowledge of apparatus assembly, plumbing, and electrical systems, but will train the right person. This person to have ability to use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, electrical test instruments, and have a basic knowledge of generator set installation, controls, and operation. Must be able to install rechargeable lights, radios, and be able to trouble shoot electrical controls including chassis body, pump, and foam systems. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to adapt to a wide range of duties. This position requires a reliable and self-motivated person with good customer service skills.
