    SALARY RANGE: Daily Substitute Rate
    $140 per day-1-3 Year Substitute Authorization
    $150 per day 5 year Substitute Authorization
    (This pay is based on 8hr. complete days)
    PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION: Please submit an application (apply online at website: www.weld8.org) along with a letter of interest, three letters of recommendation and a current resume listing your qualifications and experiences for the position. Applicant must apply online.
    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:
    • Substitue Licensure Endorsement from CDE required, Endorsement
    • Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) preferred
    • Experience with young children, in under graduate/graduate degree in ECE/CD
    • Hold or be able to obtain a Colorado Teachers' Certificate/License from CDE
    • Knowledge of ECE standards and assessment preferred – able to study, document and report program effectiveness to Executive Director.
    • Background and successful experience in early childhood education, multicultural education, second language acquisition and literacy desirable
    • Able to develop parent partnerships in various ways (facilitate the enrollment process, ensure family involvement and support)
    • Able to support preschool teachers and teacher assistants (identify training needs, provide staff development on an on-going basis, ensure classrooms are licensed by the CDHS, ensure Individual Learning Plans are developed and implemented for each child and support the Executive Director of Early Childhood.
    • Able to act in support of the ECE Executive Director in order to assist with accurate reporting of October preschool count, submit annual CPP Reapplication and Annual Report, attend regional CPP Meetings, coordinate monitoring visits and respond to requests from CDE.
    • Computer and Technology skills preferred
    • Able to work as a team member across the district schools

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    • Assignment starting date is negotionable
    • All contracts of personnel shall be subject to the approval of the Board of Education.
    • Direct deposit of payroll is a condition of employment.
    • Early Childhood Substitutes reports to the Executive Director of Early Childhood Education
