    JOB TITLE: Food Service Coordinator AULT / PIERCE
    REPORTS TO: R. Ring – Supt.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    Only representative duties are described. Additional related details and miscellaneous duties will be required in the performance of this position.
    • Coordinate and manage the Weld Re-9 food service program.
    • Develop menus that meet established nutritional guidelines.
    • Administer the free and reduced lunch program following USDA guidelines.
    • Compile and maintain food service budget (Fund 51).
    • Evaluate job performance of employees.
    • Recruit, train and supervise food service personnel. (Approx. 12 employees)
    • Maintain safety standards that comply with federal, state, and district guidelines.
    • Implement a district-wide customer service driven philosophy that focuses on value and satisfaction.
    • Establishes procedures to ensure that food is prepared and served in a sanitary and safe environment.
    • Implements efficient management techniques to ensure all records and supporting documentation are maintained in accordance with local, state and federal laws and policies.
    • Develops purchasing guidelines to ensure purchased food and supplies reflect product knowledge, customer preferences, district needs, policies and nutritional objectives.
    • Develops procedures to ensure the food production system provides safe nutritious food of high quality.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Commitment to building excellence in a public school environment.
    • Demonstrated knowledge/competency in a variety of technology applications.
    • High degree of skills in interpersonal relations and communications.
    • Must possess the ability to develop and maintain rapport with staff.
    Bachelor’s degree in food service management, home economics, food and nutrition preferred, but will consider prior experience in the food service industry.
    SALARY AND BENEFITS:
    The salary range is $40,000-$45,000 per year as of the time of this posting, depending on education and previous experience. The district provides health insurance benefits including dental and vision, PERA retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability, an optional supplemental 401(k) plan, an employee assistance plan, and the ability to enroll in supplemental insurances and savings accounts through a third-party vendor. Weld RE-9 offers sick leave and personal leave as well as other benefits specific to our school district.
