WellCare Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time, licensed veterinary technician to join our team. We care for our clients and their pets like family and also feels the same way about each other.

Our practice delivers the highest quality medical care with compassion and a personal touch. We’re hoping to find a technician who knows how to make people and pets feel welcome, has exceptional communication skills, experience assisting in surgery, and is committed to building relationships with our pet parents.

The person we are looking for is a licensed technician with at least one year experience in a small animal practice. Required technical abilities include:

• IV catheter placement
• Anesthetic monitoring
• Administration of medication via injection and by mouth
• Radiology
• Knowledge and comfortability communicating about animal care, procedures, and doctor recommendations to educate clients
• Good communication skills within the team and with clients
• Ability to triage,
• Ability and willingness to help reception staff occasionally.
• A team member who has the ability to adapt to different DVM personalities and preferences.
