Medical Receptionist: WELLCARE URGENT CARE is looking for a FULL-TIME receptionist . We have 2 locations in Grand Rapids. Our Leonard location operates from 7am -11 pm seven (7) days a week and our Cascade location operates from 8am to 8pm seven (7) days a week. The full-time receptionist will do a combination of 8hr, 12hr and a 16hr shift in a week and will get between 36-40 hours a week. Opportunity for growth into leadership positions comes along with this position.

Duties:

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual

- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar

- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments

- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary

- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents

- Ensure the waiting area is clean and organized

- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Experience:

- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred

- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
