WellHaven Pet Health is Hiring a Pet Camp Attendant Near Lone Tree, CO

We are looking for a PART-TIME Pet Camp Attendant to Join our Team!

Here at WellHaven Pet Health Lone Tree, we strive to provide comprehensive veterinary services and exceptional customer service. We aim to establish and maintain a long-term relationship with our patients and clients. We will provide the highest level of care for pets in our community and work together as a team to keep pets happy and healthy.

A successful candidate in this role will be a motivated self-starter and a total team player with a can-do attitude! This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, calm, and interactive environment in the group playroom.

This position is part-time, 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Educating clientele on the service and price of Doggy Day Care
  • Assessing canine clients and determining proper playgroup
  • Loading and unloading kennels and playrooms
  • Maintaining proper Identification of guests at all times
  • Recognizing Canine Behaviors and acting as needed for group safety
  • Following all instructions, safety guidelines for pets, and associate safety
  • Recognizing negative behavior and warning signs and taking prompt action
  • Ensuring the playroom has all properly working safety equipment
  • Recognizing signs of stress and taking immediate action
  • Maintaining Doggy Day Care Equipment
  • Assists with maintaining Doggy Day Care supplies
  • Expected to help with day-to-day check in’s & check out’s
  • Advocate for hospital success
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Adhere to OSHA standards and regulations as outlined by Wellhaven Pet Heath company policies
  • Responsible for some reception duties such as answering phone calls, making appointments, check-ins, and checkouts
  • Picking up dog poop and cleaning urine and other bodily fluids throughout the shift
  • Setting up playrooms with safety EQ, water bowls, rosters, and cleaning equipment
  • Monitoring buckets and changing throughout the day as needed
  • Breaking down the playroom, sanitizing kennels, runs, floors, walls, windows, potty stations, and playground equipment, following strict guidelines for health and safety
  • Monitoring all toys and playground equipment for wear and tear and safety hazards
  • Ensuring pet is wiped down before checkout
  • Assisting with trash, laundry, and dishwashing

Qualifications:

  • 1 years of Doggy Day Care, Kennel, Shelter, or Training experience preferred
  • High school diploma in progress or equivalent
  • Dependability
  • 6 months of experience in the pet industry
  • Must love dogs and practice positive reinforcement techniques
  • Self-motivated and willing to learn new skill sets
  • Cannot be allergic to dogs
