Job Summary:
As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be a key player in managing our financial operations with a primary focus on accounts receivable processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming payments, maintaining detailed financial records, and upholding compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Duties:
- Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliation.
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain precise records of financial transactions and update receivables ledgers.
- Customer Relations: Communicate effectively with customers regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.
- Payment Processing: Process incoming payments promptly and accurately.
- Utilize Accounting Software: Proficiently use software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, or other financial tools for efficient receivables management.
- Account Reconciliation: Ensure accuracy in recording transactions and reconcile accounts in the receivables ledger.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to accounts receivable processes.
- Financial Concepts: Apply knowledge of financial concepts like GAAP to support accurate financial reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, or similar tools.
- Experience with account reconciliation and data entry.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles and practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payments.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently when necessary.
