Salary: $70K – $130K
Summary:
Participate in a multi–disciplinary team providing program–specific services to individuals and/or families served. Provides professional community behavioral health services through individual and group psychotherapy and counseling of clients.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
The Behavioral Health Counselor provides individual, family, and/or group counseling, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, case management and discharge planning:
Document services provided and communicate with client and care team as needed.
Assess and triage individuals in crisis. Provide short–term counseling.
Prepare documents for referrals if needed.
Other functions:
Interact and convene community partners and resources as necessary to ensure population needs are being met.
Attend and participate in team meetings, trainings, and activities to further the health of the community.
Participate in ongoing quality improvement and reports from data systems to guide and improve practice,
Uses reflective supervision to evaluate and improve practice, and takes part in self–care activities.
Minimum Education Level:
Masters Specifics: Specializing in counseling, psychology or related field.
Minimum Experience Level:
One – Three years Specifics: clinical/treatment experience in
LPC, LCSW, or LMFT required.
