About these roles:
The Veteran Employment Transition (VET) Program is a nationwide 8-week Spring and Fall development program that converts directly to a full-time opportunity based on performance. We're hiring a class of 35 - 45 to begin on September 25th starting with an intensive training and orientation led by professional instructors and senior Wells Fargo employees. You'll network with your peers and Wells Fargo leaders while developing your skills and knowledge of our financial products and services before joining a team of experienced Wells Fargo employees for on-the-job training and development. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, working hard to achieve a goal, learning new things, and improving yourself, this program might be a good fit for you.
In addition, successful candidates are team-players who work well in a collaborative environment and have strong situational analysis skills. All ranks are encouraged to apply as we are hiring at multiple levels. This program is NOT DOD SkillBridge eligible as it's a Wells Fargo paid internship.

Program Expectations:
  • Must be able to start on September 25, 2024 and attend the full duration of the 8-week internship program
  • Must be off active duty no later than September 24, 2024. (Only exceptions: terminal leave and/or traditional Guard or Reserve status, these are eligible)
Program Required Qualifications:
  • 6 months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Service in any branch of the United States military
  • Able to work on the first day of the program, September 25, 2024
In these roles you will:
The Data Management & Analysis Group has the following opportunities within the Chief Operating Office (COO):
Lead Data Management Analyst (Available locations: Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ)
  • Formulate long range data analytic and platform product strategies
  • Drive analytic and platform data product vision into action
  • Drive alignment of data analytic and platform product delivery roadmaps
  • Understand and drive data product maturity and identify opportunities not yet realized
  • Address challenges that need to be remediated to achieve a desired target state
  • Help define enterprise-grade data solutions/data strategy enablers and accelerators
  • Answer complex business questions and encourage business innovation
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5 years of Data Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Product strategy formulating experience
  • Accomplished data and data management related problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with answering or resolving complex business questions as it relates to data management and strategy
  • Financial services industry experience
  • 1 years experience with Public, Private, Hybrid Cloud - preferably Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud (Google Cloud Platform)
  • 3 years of experience with data migration
  • 3 years experience with Big Data Technologies, Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, or managing Data at Scale on the cloud
  • Experience with diverse data platforms including Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, Big Query, Hadoop MapR
  • Experience with BI stacks, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Experience with analysis and implementation of Cloud-first and Cloud-native strategies
  • Proven record of delivery across organizational lines and ability to influence outcomes at senior levels
  • Experience with analysis and execution within a business and technology function
  • Experience in defining and charting a maturity path for data management capabilities
  • Experience in data management governance process design
  • Experience establishing and maturing data management metrics programs
  • Experience with risk management and working in highly regulated industries
  • Innovative mindset, comfortable in operating in ambiguous environments and defining structured approaches
  • Experience in capability maturity assessment methods (preferably in data management capability space)

Senior Lead Data Management Analyst (Available locations: Chandler, AZ; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ)
  • Drives oversight, governance, and management of critical data to support business needs, initiatives, and strategies
  • Consult with data product, data integrity, technology, and business partners to set standards, policies and practices for data flow, data framework, data access, documentation, quality and remediation.
  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence objectives, plans, specifications, resources, and long-term goals for highly complex business and technical needs
  • Design and conduct highly complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality or integrity issues and to identify and remediate process or control gaps
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
  • Partner with groups companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution
Desired Qualifications:
  • 7 years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Business and technology savvy people leader with servant leadership experience and adept at building relations with cross matrixed teams
  • 2 Experience with Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • High fluency in SAS, Python SQL and Power BI/Tableau dashboard development
  • Exposure to Alteryx
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile leadership experience
  • Financial services industry or Big 4 Consulting experience
  • Adept at dealing with ambiguity and set a strategy to deliver on organization goals
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver dynamic presentations by converting complex insights into comprehensive terminology
  • Ability to prioritize book of work, upkeep with deliverable roadmap in fast paced environment and continue to make incremental progress
  • Ability to interact and influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Inquisitive and willingness and aptitude to learn

Actual VET Program compensation is determined by location, experience, and qualifications of the job.
