This Infrastructure Engineering Senior Manager will be responsible for the enterprise Data Protection engineering organization. The manager of this team will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, providing day to day direction for the team, and identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, lower risk, increase efficiencies, and drive down costs while delivering for our business partners’ requirements. This position will coordinate workflow, projects, and process efficiency for the team and will be the primary point of contact for these efforts. This position will provide consultative support to infrastructure and CIO partners in these technology areas. This position will be responsible for interacting with our vendors to ensure enhancement requests are being fulfilled, features are available ahead of demand, and the vendors are meeting Wells Fargo's expectations with their release cycles.

This position must understand backup/storage technology and the ability to manage a geographically disperse workforce to ensure a high degree of availability by engineering solutions for critical environments. This position must demonstrate experience in identifying and influencing engineering teams by driving efficiency in complex environments. The team will ensure our standard services meet regulatory, governance, and consumer requirements. The team will be responsible for engineering solutions in a 500 Petabyte (PB) environment.

• Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing, and developing team members, identifying, and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Required Qualifications

• 6 years of Infrastructure Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
• 3 years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with storage backup software and systems such as NetBackup, Rubrik, Cohesity, or Data Domain

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
• Ability to interact effectively and confidently with senior management.
• Ability to develop roadmaps and plans that enable strategies.
• Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives

• Experience in managing application / infrastructure or related technology.
• Must have proven experience managing relationships in an infrastructure environment. 
• Experience partnering with multiple technical environments to research, analyze and incorporate emerging technologies.
• Ability to perform the day-to-day technical activities related to maintaining a reliable and effective environment responsive to the requirements of lines of business as it relates to compliance & support for specialized environments.
• Document client solutions as well as provide guidance and procedural direction as it relates to ALL engineering activities. 
• Partner across organizational boundaries to analyze & manage problems, and incorporate lessons learned into go-forward builds and design activities.
