About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Negotiations Consultant who will be part of the Agency Relations team within the Home Lending Capital Markets group. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com
In this role, you will:
  • Be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the relationships with Government Sponsored Enterprises (GSEs, individually Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae) and Government Agencies (FHA/VA) on behalf of the Wells Fargo Home Lending
  • Be the liaison to the GSEs and Government Agencies for Home Lending, including issue resolution and day to day activities
  • Manage the GSE and Government Agency announcement intake and support the team on new requirement impacts.
  • Manage all special GSE coding identifiers and update when necessary.
  • Administer GSE contract management activities.
  • Support Agency Relations with all RCSA activities including procedure and control maintenance.
  • Provide support for internal project and programs; providing expertise about GSE and Government Agency requirements
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals at both the GSEs and internal Wells Fargo, including more experienced managers
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years of Business Negotiations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong organization skills; documents, trackers, emails, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of origination and delivery requirements of the GSE and Government Agencies
  • Ability to manage multiple or competing priorities
  • Ability to lead and manage change effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to execute in a fast pace, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with change management process
Job Expectations:
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • This position requires compliance with all mortgages regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.

The Lead Business Negotiations Consultant would be accountable to
  • Manage the GSE and Government Agency announcement intake and support the team on new requirement impacts.
  • Identify loan delivery needs based on existing and request updates in internal systems
  • Manage all special GSE coding identifiers and update when necessary.
  • Administer GSE contract management activities.
  • Support Agency Relations with all RCSA activities including procedure and control maintenance.
  • Build, maintain and grow the GSE and Government Agency relationships to benefit Wells Fargo.
  • Present new requirements to cross functional teams with full understanding of the other Investor requirements.
  • Expertly problem solve with a focus on simplicity.
