Wells Fargo is Hiring a Lead Information Security Engineer - Data Protection Near CHANDLER, AZ

About this role:

The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

Within EFT we are seeking a Lead Data Protection Engineer (Lead Software Engineer) to collaborate on data protection implementations such as data ingestion and automation related to Data Loss Prevention tools. 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and collaborate on the design, implementation, oversight and automation of highly complex data protection security solutions
  • Provide security consulting on large projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
  • Use your Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to test and implement solutions within data protection and data loss prevention security technologies
  • Analyze and make recommendations for implementation of security controls and automated solutions related to data protection, including security log review and correlation, access management, threat response, etc.
  • Resolve security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting in complex technical environments
  • 2 years of experience implementing technical solutions in a large enterprise (150K employees)
  • 2 years of experience with scripting tools such as Bash, Python and PowerShell
  • 1 year of experience writing SQL queries
  • 1 year of experience building/managing MS SQL and/or Oracle databases, including data feeds and ETL

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience installing and maintaining applications in Linux and Windows server environments
  • Experience performing technical product assessments, including development of implementation plans, in a large enterprise
  • Experience with API scripting
  • Experience with data protection security solutions and concepts, including Data Loss Prevention
  • Cloud security and engineering experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced critical thinking, problem solving and technical troubleshooting abilities
  • Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, remains curious, and has a genuine interest in learning and growth
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and think independently in a team environment
  • Experience writing technical documentation for support, compliance, audit, and process/procedure purposes

Job Expectations:

  • This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
