Wells Fargo is Hiring a Lockbox Operations Business Manager Near CHARLOTTE, NC

About this role:

As part of a multiyear transformation journey aimed at end-to-end modernization, the Lockbox Business Manager will have responsibility to support the Head of Lockbox Operations in managing an organization of 1100 employees by leading strategic planning, development of accountability routines, performance metrics, budget forecasting and preparing executive presentations. This role is expected to be filled by an individual able to independently make decisions, define approach, organize priorities, manage key stakeholders and communicate at senior levels of the organization.

The role is also known as a Business Execution Director

Shared Services Operations

Shared Services Operations (SSO) delivers core operational functions to our customers that are common across Wells Fargo, along with transformation capabilities to our employees, utilizing a continuous improvement approach to achieve stronger controls, improved client experiences, and sustained efficiencies. SSO includes Payment Operations which owns direct management of Wholesale Payments (Wires/ACH, Lockbox)), Payments Transformation, Operational Excellence, Financial Crimes and Regulatory Operations, Business & Real Estate Services and Quality Assurance.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage and develop a team of managers and individual contributors while ensuring successful planning, integration, and measurement of operations with moderate to high complexity and visibility to senior management.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
  • Responsible for the oversight of management routines, administrative support, periodic submission to cabinets and oversight routines to ensure achievement of strategic goals.
  • Develop divisional communication strategy, formal and informal recognition programs, vendor relationship and score carding
  • Prepare materials for executive reviews with focus on measurements, data insights and storytelling by consolidating inputs from multiple groups into one consistent deliverable for Lockbox Operations.
  • Engage functional leaders to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo's policies and business line objectives.
  • Recommend opportunities for process improvement and delivery of effective management support routines, management reporting and metrics.
  • Collaborate with and influence functional business partners, leaders, and executive management to provide support and drive strategic initiatives for the business.
  • Serve as primary point of escalation to mitigate risk. Escalation support between domestic and I&P locations. Gather data, trends, and analysis to drive continuous improvements.
  • Monitor site level quality results against target and KRIs, participating in planning for productivity and quality targets. Determine appropriate strategies and actions of multiple business groups to meet moderate to high complex deliverables.
  • Manage and develop multiple business functional areas with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4 years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Payments Operations experience or other operations business management experience preferred.
  • Previous experience identifying opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development in order to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency.
  • Prior experience preparing business reviews and presenting updates to senior leaders, and steering committees.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating concise messages to large scale teams.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Proven ability to dive deep into process.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
