About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Capital Markets Middle Office Specialist to support our Commodities desk as part of Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Operations. The MO Specialist will have extensive PnL reporting experience and life-cycle management of the energy & commodity suite including natural gas, crude, power, agriculture and metals.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex derivatives products within Capital Markets Middle Office
  • Contribute to large scale planning related to profit and loss generation, attribution and trades.
  • Perform daily Profit and Loss reporting.
  • Perform daily Profit and Loss Attribution reporting.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of Profit and Loss with finance and system of record.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of unrealized PNL, realized PNL and marketing fee between system of record and Front Office
  • Responsible for documenting and maintaining standard operating procedures for PNL Team
  • Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4 years of Capital Markets industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 4 years in a middle office PnL analyst role with an energy major and/or bank that's heavily engaged in energy trading
  • Experience with both physical and financial derivative products.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communicator.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and comfortable consuming big data and articulate what that data represents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment 
  • Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of loan, securities, and derivative products 
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
