About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Financial Risk Officer that will be an individual contributor role on the Finance Risk Management (FRM) – Liquidity Risk Oversight (LRO) Team reporting to the Financial Risk Senior Manager. This will be a high visibility role requiring regular interactions with senior leaders across Financial Risk Management, Finance, Corporate Risk, and Internal Audit. This individual will be responsible for liquidity risk oversight of Deposits and Intraday Liquidity.
In this role, you will:
Review and challenge of stress test assumptions and methodologies
Review new/updated liquidity stress test assumptions to ensure they are credible, well supported, conceptual sound, and they meet regulatory requirements
Determine if existing assumptions and methodologies remain appropriate given changes in macroeconomic conditions, changes to regulatory requirements or regulatory feedback, assumption calibration is optimal, and data supporting assumptions are fit for its intended purpose
Review and challenge of metrics that provide an early warning of emerging risk and manage concentration risk
Complete compliance reviews, including Reg YY and LCR/NSFR
Partner with Model Risk on quarterly performance monitoring of models to ensure models are operating effectively
Monitoring of results across the different stress tests (LCR, NSFR, ILST, RLAP, RLEN, 165(d) submission, and Recovery Plan)
Complete the assessment of new strategic initiatives and new product reviews, including modified or retired products. Evaluate the liquidity risk impact of products and identify products that are higher risk for escalation to management for review
This individual will have ownership of risk assessments for Deposits and Intraday Liquidity
Required Qualifications:
7 years of Financial Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
7 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: liquidity risk, finance/treasury/asset liability management
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in banking and finance
Experience in bank liquidity and/or capital analysis including stress test scenarios
Experience working with deposits from a liquidity, finance, treasury, or capital perspective
Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization including senior executive-level leaders
