What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Care Facilitator and Cashier/Server position at Wentzville R-IV School District?
- High School Diploma/GED or significant relatable experience
- Knowledge of serving food in large quantities, preferably in a school setting
- Cashier experience preferred
- A minimum of one year experience working with students preferred
- Sets up and breaks down serving lines (salad bar, hot food, a la carte, etc.)
- Prepares, portions, and serves food items from the provided menu cycle, and as directed by the manager
- Assists with the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions are met
- Provides cashier services during meal serving hours
- Counts and balance their cash drawer at the end of the serving period
- Wears and maintain uniforms in a neat, clean appropriate fashion in accordance with the Child Nutrition dress code
- Attends meetings, professional development, and other training as required
- Attends work as scheduled and perform other duties as assigned by the Café Manager and/or Directors of Child Nutrition Services
- Provides emotional support and encouragement to students. Attend I.E.P. meetings as needed
- Manages student behavior, including time on the playground
- Assists in provision of physical care of students as needed
- Communicates with parents regarding the students’ performance, conduct, and attendance
- Participates in all required meetings such as monthly staff meetings, workshops and conferences.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
