Clinical Application Specialist - Acute Care Diagnostics - NSW/ACT

Werfen, a leading global innovator in specialised diagnostics, is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Application Specialist (CAS) to join our growing team in our Acute Care Diagnostics Stream. We have positions available in NSW, QLD and a maternity leave cover in VIC.

In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting our Acute Care Diagnostics portfolio, including:

• GEM Premier Devices (Blood Gas)
• ROTEM sigma/delta devices (Patient Blood Management)
• VerifyNow (Platelet Reactivity)
• GEM Hemochron 100 (ACT Testing)

You will be responsible for:

• Providing technical support to healthcare facilities (public and private hospitals, pathology services)
• Installing, configuring, and validating our equipment
• Delivering comprehensive training programs for clinical staff on our product lines
• Offering expert technical and clinical knowledge on the clinical utilisation of our products
• Collaborating with sales and marketing for product demonstrations and customer visits

We are looking for someone who:

• Possesses tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in nursing, medical science, biochemistry, point-of-care or biomedical science.
• Has a minimum of 5 years' experience in the IVD/Pathology/Scientific industry or in a similar position or working in a point-of-care and/or clinical role in hospital environments.
• Possesses strong technical knowledge of blood gas analysis, haemostasis testing, coagulation principles, and patient blood management
• Thrives in a team environment and enjoys collaborating with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrates excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Is a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Can confidently present complex information to a variety of audiences
