HousekeeperDepartment: Housekeeping/Laundry
FLSA/Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly (Full-Time)
Pay Rate: 14.50 - 15.50/hr DOESummaryTo clean assigned apartments, suites, or homes and to assist housekeeping staff in keeping all general areas of the facility neat and clean.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Pay Rate: 14.50 - 15.50/hr DOESummaryTo clean assigned apartments, suites, or homes and to assist housekeeping staff in keeping all general areas of the facility neat and clean.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure that all work schedules are followed as closely as practical.
- Make sure each resident’s room is kept clean without disturbing personal property unless requested by the Supervisor or Resident.
- Perform assigned tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, washing surfaces, emptying trash, and other duties necessary to assist in cleanliness of facility.
- Ensure that work/cleaning/laundry schedules are followed as closely as practical.
- Uses commercial washers and dryers to complete 6-8 loads of laundry daily.
- Label and hang clean laundry on movable laundry carts.
- Brings carts of clean laundry to appropriate residents in designated facility areas.
- Coordinate daily housekeeping/laundry services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living and/or recreational areas.
- Ensure that all areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner.
- Ensure appropriate techniques are followed when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used for cleaning/laundry.
- Refer to material safety data sheets (MSDS) when necessary.
- Ensure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing housekeeping/laundry functions.
- Coordinate routine/terminal isolation procedures with nursing services.
- Perform isolation cleaning/laundry procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures.
- Complete all other assignments as directed by direct manager/supervisor
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Previous experience desirable but not required.
- Good interpersonal relations with proven communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read any special instructions and to understand labels on cleaning products.
- Must be able to stand and walk during 6 to 8-hour shifts
- Must be able to reach, lift, bend, stoop, and wipe.
- Must be able to frequently carry supplies and push carts up to 60 pounds.
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check, including (MVR) moving vehicle records.
- Must have or be willing to receive the Flu-Shot Vaccine and TB testing.
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening, including cannabis.
- Must be willing to undergo biometric screening.
