Job Summary
This classroom is a part-time 3's class. Open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9-2. This classroom only runs during the school year and not year-round. We are seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and creating a nurturing learning environment for young children.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to stimulate children's cognitive, social, and emotional growth
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for preschool-aged children
- Conduct activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development
- Monitor and assess student progress and communicate effectively with parents
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a comprehensive educational program
Requirements
- 45 hours completed in the ELC website / or currently enrolled
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred but not required
- high school diploma or equivalent excepted as well
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with curriculum development and literacy education
- Experience working with preschoolers is a plus
- Certification in Early Childhood Education is advantageous
