Job description
We are looking for a Medical Scheduler/Receptionist to join our team!
Monday through Friday
This individual will:
Answer incoming telephone calls and direct to appropriate department.
Book appointments in Practice Management system. Register new patients, enter all demographics and insurance information. Gather referring provider information and request medical records.
Verifying insurance benefits, obtaining e-referrals and authorizations.
Counseling patients, appointment verification and scheduling appointments for multiple providers.
Take messages from patients, doctors, pharmacies etc. and tasking to appropriate staff members. Accurate spelling, correct phone number or email address with and description of patient needs/request is required.
Assist with front office duties, including check in and out, scanning and faxes.
Assist with rescheduling of appointments when changes in scheduling occur.
Must be capable of multi-tasking and working with a diverse patient population.
