Job Title: Sales Associate
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a positive shopping experience for our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner to understand their needs and preferences.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Utilize effective sales techniques such as upselling to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Operate the POS system with accuracy and efficiency to process transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves and arranging merchandise.
- Handle cash transactions, including operating the cash register and ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Stays up to date with sales trends for better service and achievement of sales.
- Alerts management of interaction with customers on potential new products.
- Opening and closing of an evnet or market according with operating hours.
- Travel and set up the booth for the event or market.
Experience:
- Prior experience in candles and goods sales is preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to sell products and meet sales targets effectively.
- Familiarity with retail operations, including stocking, inventory management, and merchandising.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with customers in a courteous manner.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift merchandise and event displays weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Professional attitude and self-motivated.
- Experience operating point of sale (POS) transactions.
- Ability to multitask.
