Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Location: West Michigan, predominately our Norton Shores/Muskegon location

Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Reports To: Owner/Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) to join our team. The PNP will provide advanced psychiatric care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients with a wide range of mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, a collaborative approach, and a commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
  • Provide psychotherapy and counseling as needed.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with practice policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and continuing education activities.
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in psychiatric care.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
  • Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum of3 years of clinical experience in psychiatric nursing, preferably in a private practice setting.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency in psychopharmacology and psychotherapy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
