Property Manager

Property Manager Experience REQUIRED - please do not apply without specific experience for the job description below.

Management and upkeep of the grounds, buildings and fencing on an 8-acre property, including, but not limited to:

• Snow plowing and shoveling
• Lawn mowing
• Weed whacking
• Landscaping
• Painting (MUST be a good, neat and clean painter)
• Fence repairs
• Building repairs
• Minor construction (Construction experience a PLUS!)
• Orchard maintenance (only about a dozen trees)
• Vineyard maintenance (just a few dozen plants)
• Winterizing animal buildings
• Tree maintenance
• Seasonal maintenance and preparations
  
  

The Right Candidate Should Know How To

• Drive a tractor (backhoe operation a plus)
• Operate a zero-turn mower
• Operate a chain saw, all other saws, weed whacker and brush cutter
• The right candidate will be trained on pond mechanics, running of the generator and other necessary functions
  
  

This position takes place at a 501(c)3 non-profit with dozens of volunteers, some volunteer handypeople and some volunteer gardeners. The right candidate will also be able to manage these volunteers, coming up with and instructing on projects and managing their follow-through. This position will also manage group volunteering days and projects.

The position will also be responsible for the ongoing organization of buildings like the tool shed, potting shed, etc. and will be responsible for repairing broken tools.

This position will report to the executive director daily.

Some flexibility will be required for days like snowy days when you will have to arrive before staff to prep the parking area.
