The Computer and Media Services Technician plays a crucial role in providing direct technical and instructional support to students, faculty, and staff at WSCC. The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree in computer science, computer networking, or a related field and have relevant experience in this field. This position involves campus-wide audio-visual support and coordinated computer lab management, including coordinating the evening coverage in the Computer Labs and the Help Desk, as required. The Computer and Media Services Technician will accomplish job duties by working collaboratively with members of the Department of Information Technology and other employees across all areas of Campus.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with Help Desk management
• Providing hardware, software and audio-visual support to students, faculty and community users
• Maintaining the security of the computer labs, equipment, and software
• Configuring and maintaining computer desktop hardware, in both the Windows and Mac environments, across the campus
• Managing WSCC computer assets through an inventory list

Required Education/Experience

• Associate degree in computer science, computer networking, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education/training in a related field
• Relevant job-related experience

Compensation

Salary starting at, or above $44,701, commensurate with skills/experience
