West Shore Lutheran School prides itself on being a Childcare leader in the community and is looking to expand the services we offer. We are looking for an Early Childhood Director to lead our program forward.

We are looking for someone who wants to make a difference in the lives of young children and their families. The Director will work with the school’s staff to foster an environment that promotes a safe learning culture for students and involves and informs parents in that process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage childcare staff by planning work schedules, evaluating staff performance, and developing improvement plans.
• Be accountable for the operation of the early childhood program, ensuring that the program is operating in accordance with state licensing standards.
• Be responsible for ensuring an educational, caring and safe environment for the children and parents.
• Promote a Christ Centered Curriculum
• Work directly with the School and Church staff to promote the Mission and Ministry of West Shore Lutheran School and Trinity Lutheran Church
• Recruit, select and retain quality staff.
• Work directly with the School Board and School Administration

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or equivalent
• CDA, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Must meet state requirements for Early Childhood Director
• Maintain and/or attain state mandated Director requirements
